VIMN ANNOUNCES EXPANDED PARK PRESENCE AT GERMAN MOVIE PARK WITH THE OPENING OF ADVENTURE BAY, A PAW PATROL BRANDED AREA, SLATED FOR MAY 2019
Milan, 8 January: As a result of the long-lasting relationships with Parques Reunidos and Movie Park, Viacom International Media Networks (NASDAQ: VIAB, VIA) continues to expand its location-based experiences (LBE) presence in theme parks and family entertainment centers across Europe. Today, VIMN announced the expansion of Nickland at Movie Park in Germany with the addition of a PAW Patrol-themed zone named ‘Adventure Bay,’ slated to open this May. The news comes on the heels of the December opening of a thematic Mall Entertainment Center (MEC) in Madrid named Nickelodeon Adventure.

Today, VIMN confirmed the upcoming expansion of Nickland at Movie Park in Germany with the addition of Adventure Bay, an 1800 square-meter area completely dedicated to PAW Patrol. With new attractions, a fresh design and interactive elements, the setting of the popular Nickelodeon series will be brought to life and made accessible to all fans. Attractions will include an off-road Convoy Ride, a children’s playground and a wild boat ride, in addition to numerous photo opportunities with the PAW Patrol characters. The opening of Adventure Bay at Movie Park is expected in May 2019.

This way, we can address our target group including families and children even more precisely and are able to offer visitors a whole new interactive experience.”
The Movie Park Germany announcement follows on the opening of a new Nickelodeon-inspired location based experience in Spain. Following the success of the Nick-themed area at Thader Shopping Center in Murcia which opened in 2017, the new Nickelodeon Adventure area at Madrid Xanadú opened December 17th. The MEC offers 6,000 square meters of highly immersive interactive experiences dedicated to some of Nickelodeon’s most popular characters. Kids can have fun at ‘SpongeBob’s Boating School Blast!,’ play in a PAW Patrol zone that includes the PAW Patrol Fire Engine and the PAW Patrol Control Tower, visit spaces dedicated to Dora the Explorer, the Rugrats and the Fairly OddParents or enjoy their time in an adventure park that integrates the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
